I moved to Midcoast Maine in 1992 with my wife and baby daughter, and started mowing lawns and spreading mulch. Over the next few years, I began doing more landscaping construction. The company grew, and after ten years we had three divisions: lawn mowing, garden maintenance, and landscape construction.

I’ve always enjoyed the construction aspect of the business the most, and eventually sold off the mowing and garden maintenance parts of the business to some great long-time employees.

Stackhouse Landscaping is now a small company concentrating on stone patios, walkways, steps, and walls as well as installation of trees, gardens, and lawns. We pride ourselves on high-quality work and personal service.

We specialize in using boulders from Pemaquid, Maine, which we cut and fit for customized patios and walkways. We want our work to reflect the style of the local environment, and strive for a look that is—like the coast of Maine itself—natural and clean.
